Mark Rolandelli is the General Contractor who helped make Gayle's house the wonderful place that it is (with assistance from the architect and her good taste of course). I remember that every time we take a shower in the master bathroom, go to bed at night, cook in the remodeled kitchen, or hang out in the relatively new family room. I first met Mark during that last construction phase, and as Gayle spent more time over in the Albany House. After all, remodeling does cause a temporary living space shortage. Mark does great work and he and his crew backs that up. A few months ago, we noticed a small puddle of water on the concrete floor in the garage. I wiped it up thinking that we has spilled something out of a certain appliance. Unfortunately, the water continued to bubble up and we realized that we had a bigger problem. At my suggestion, Gayle called Mark as his crew were the last ones who had touched any part of the plumbing and he knew her house better than anyone. That's very important at the early diagnosis stage when we had no idea what was going on under the slab, or how much it might cost to fix it. This all unfolded late one Saturday afternoon. We talked to Mark on the same day and he came out on Sunday with his long-time and irreverently talented plumber at his side. The issue was quickly diagnosed, the "up and over" copper piping fix was agreed, the crew showed up on Tuesday, and water was again flowing through the house soon after. It wasn't cheap, but it was fair and the right thing to do. The key thing is that knowing that you're in trusted good hands is priceless.
